JuicePress runs offline. Your videos never leave your computer. Learn what data we collect (spoiler: almost nothing).

FreshJuice ("we", "us", "our") built JuicePress as a desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use JuicePress.
The Short Version
JuicePress processes videos entirely on your device. Your video files never leave your computer. We collect minimal, anonymous analytics to improve the app, and you can opt out at any time.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Video files. All video processing happens locally on your device. No files are uploaded to any server.
- Personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information through the Application.
- File contents or metadata. We do not access, analyze, or transmit any information about the videos you process.
Information We Collect
Anonymous Usage Analytics
JuicePress uses Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage events. This helps us understand which features are used and how to improve the app. Aptabase is designed with privacy in mind:
- No personal data is collected
- No cross-app or cross-device tracking
- Data is not sold or shared with third parties
- Fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR
You can opt out of analytics at any time through the Application settings.
Error Reporting
JuicePress uses Rollbar to collect crash reports and error data. When an error occurs, the following information may be sent:
- Error message and stack trace
- Application version
- Operating system and browser engine version
- IP address (processed by Rollbar's infrastructure but not stored by us)
Error reporting helps us identify and fix bugs. This data is used solely for improving application stability.
Update Checks
JuicePress periodically checks for available updates by contacting cdn.freshjuice.dev. This request may include:
- Your current application version
- Your operating system (macOS or Windows)
This information is not stored or associated with any personal identifier.
FFmpeg Download
On first launch, JuicePress downloads the FFmpeg video processing engine from cdn.freshjuice.dev (hosted on Cloudflare). We do not collect or store data from these requests. Cloudflare may process connection metadata (such as IP address) under their own Privacy Policy.

Future Paid Features
If we introduce paid features in the future, payment processing will be handled by a third-party payment provider. We will update this Privacy Policy with details about what data the payment provider collects before any paid features are launched.
Data Storage
JuicePress processes everything locally. Your data stays on your device. Application preferences are stored locally on your computer and are not synced or transmitted.
Website
When you visit our website at juicepress.app, standard web server logs may record IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this information solely for maintaining and improving the website.
Our website uses a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance for privacy-friendly website analytics. Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It records only aggregated, anonymized metrics (page URL, referrer, device type, country). See Plausible's data policy for details.
Our website may also use HubSpot for contact forms, consent management, and website analytics. HubSpot may collect information you voluntarily provide (such as your email address) and use cookies to track website usage. JuicePress is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the Application, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
