JuicePress runs offline. Your videos never leave your computer. Learn what data we collect (spoiler: almost nothing).

FreshJuice ("we", "us", "our") built JuicePress as a desktop application. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use JuicePress.
The Short Version
JuicePress processes videos entirely on your device. Your video files never leave your computer. We collect minimal, anonymous analytics to improve the app, and you can opt out at any time.
Information We Do Not Collect
- Video files. All video processing happens locally on your device. No files are uploaded to any server.
- Personal information. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information through the Application.
- File contents or metadata. We do not access, analyze, or transmit any information about the videos you process.
Information We Collect
Anonymous Usage Analytics
JuicePress uses Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to collect anonymous usage events. This helps us understand which features are used and how to improve the app. Aptabase is designed with privacy in mind:
- No personal data is collected
- No cross-app or cross-device tracking
- Data is not sold or shared with third parties
- Fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR
You can opt out of analytics at any time through the Application settings.
Error Reporting
JuicePress uses Rollbar to collect crash reports and error data. When an error occurs, the following information may be sent:
- Error message and stack trace
- Application version
- Operating system and browser engine version
- IP address (processed by Rollbar's infrastructure but not stored by us)
Error reporting helps us identify and fix bugs. This data is used solely for improving application stability.
Update Checks
JuicePress periodically checks for available updates by contacting cdn.freshjuice.dev. This request may include:
- Your current application version
- Your operating system (macOS or Windows)
This information is not stored or associated with any personal identifier.
FFmpeg Download
On first launch, JuicePress downloads the FFmpeg video processing engine from cdn.freshjuice.dev (hosted on Cloudflare). We do not collect or store data from these requests. Cloudflare may process connection metadata (such as IP address) under their own Privacy Policy.
Data Storage
JuicePress processes everything locally. Your data stays on your device. Application preferences are stored locally on your computer and are not synced or transmitted.

Payments
Purchases of JuicePress are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. When you click "Buy", Paddle's checkout overlay loads on our website. Paddle collects payment and billing information (such as name, email, billing address, and payment details) under their own privacy policy and handles tax collection, invoicing, and fraud prevention on our behalf.
We do not have access to your full payment details (e.g., card numbers). We receive only the information necessary to fulfill your license (such as email address and country for tax purposes). See Paddle's Privacy Policy and Paddle's Buyer Terms for details.
Website
When you visit our website at juicepress.app, standard web server logs may record IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this information solely for maintaining and improving the website.
Our website uses HubSpot solely for anonymous website analytics (aggregate page views and feature usage). We do not run any contact forms on this website, so HubSpot never receives your email address or any personal information you submit to us. HubSpot is loaded only after you grant analytics consent via our own cookie banner, and sets cookies to track website usage once enabled. See HubSpot's Privacy Policy for details.
Cookies & Consent
We use our own cookie consent banner, powered by Zest — a privacy-first consent toolkit built in-house by FreshJuice. Until you actively consent, we are effectively blind: no tracking, no analytics, no marketing cookies, and no third-party scripts that profile you are loaded — period. HubSpot's analytics script is not even fetched until you opt in. This applies globally, to every visitor, regardless of where you are located. We apply the same opt-in standard worldwide (EU, UK, US, and everywhere else), even in jurisdictions where prior consent is not legally required. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a binding opt-out. In that case the consent banner is shown for informational purposes only — nothing is activated, nothing is set, and no choice can override the signal without an explicit action from you.
The only cookies stored without a cookie-banner consent are strictly necessary ones:
- Cloudflare bot-management and security cookies (e.g.
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) used to protect the site from abuse. - Our consent-state cookie (
zest_consent) that remembers your choice so we don't ask again. - Paddle checkout cookies, but only if you actively click "Buy" and open the checkout overlay. These are essential for processing your payment (session integrity, fraud prevention, tax calculation) and are loaded exclusively on your explicit request — never preemptively on page load.
These cookies are exempt from prior consent requirements under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive 2002/58/EC (as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC), Recital 49 GDPR (security as a legitimate interest), and equivalent national implementations — for example UK PECR Regulation 6(4)(b) and § 25(2) of the German TTDSG/TDDDG. Age Requirement
JuicePress is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the Application, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
